OBJECTIVES
- to reduce management costs;
- to increase the efficiency of the equipment rental process;
- to ensure the uptime of the rented equipment;
- to monitor and support the rental of equipment.
SOLUTIONS
An innovative data analytics system has been developed for business intelligence and decision support in equipment rental and space optimization processes for facility management. It consists of a distributed computing cluster of embedded devices equipped with innovative algorithms that extends and enhances the cluster and the algorithmic endowment of previous projects.

DESK is a distributed computing system based on IoT infrastructure that implements smart workplace features:
- Indoor positioning and tracking;
- Big Data Analytics;
- Decision Support System.
DESK cloud
- displays information on the location and tracking of assets;
- analyzes maintenance and management KPIs in real time;
- offers decision support to operators,
uDESK (micro CPS)
- is the algorithm computation core and constitutes DESK’s Cyber-Physical System (CPS);
- is a compact size SBC (Single Board Computer) encapsulated in a “USB stick form factor” enclosure;
- is logically associated with a single machine;
- is the basic unit of the parallel computing cluster.
