OBJECTIVES
To take a leading position on Data Economy, Europe is placing focus on breaking “data silos”, and accessing, sharing and reusing data, still ensuring that this happens in a secured and trusted manner. For that, the European Commission is supporting pilot projects and innovation spaces to allow experimentation on cross-sector multi-stakeholder data innovation.
REACH integrates 3 DIHs and 9 public/ private data-providers and 2 private investor brokers. It aims to generate 10M€ volume investment for SMEs creating 15 data value-chains delivering fit-to-market products.
SOLUTIONS
Idea75 contributes as data provider with a big dataset based on industrial production performance and three challenges addressing the topics of monitoring, predictive maintenance and energy efficiency.
REACH supports the generation of new data-fuelled products & services by offering a full-service pack consisted of: tech-training and experts, datasets, technological bricks for secure and trusted data value chains, computing infrastructures, business development training & coaches and up to €120k equity-free funding.

The Reach project offers many instruments to EU SMEs:
- cascade equity-free funding for organizations to finance their innovations;
- a range of Data Providers coming from different sectors offering their data and corporate challenges for experimentation;
- data mentoring and business coaching available for companies to help develop their experiments and turn them into market-ready solutions;
- ready-to-use tools an state-of-the-art technologies for increasing trust and security in data sharing and exchange;
- Big Data infrastructure to host experiments and facilitate the development of data-fuelled solutions in short time;
- a network of corporate and private investors engaged to select and potentially invest in promising companies with great go-to-market and growth potential;
- ecosystem and organizational visibility towards new partnerships and business opportunities.
ACCELERATION PROGRAM
Reach proposes a 4-phases funnel Tech-Biz acceleration program to support companies in one of the 43 challenges addressed by data providers in round 1and continuously growing in the next rounds scheduled.
- EXPLORE – Idea validation. In this phase, during a two-month period, sub-grantees design the solution and associate business model in their own premises;
- EXPERIMENT – Product realization. The selected teams meet the data providers involved in their proposal in order to accompany the respective challenge they are participating in, to define the features of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and to coordinate the necessary resources for the MVP development;
- EVOLVE – Product refinement & Market Launch. The selected start-ups/SMEs receive support in growing their business, further developing their business model for success and seeking and achieving investment for the sustainability of their data-driven solution;
- EXPOSE – Private investment fund raising. Subgrantees having reached.

Idea75 at REACH Datathon in Paris
We have been at REACH first pitching event of its third incubation rount in Paris!
Vincenzo F. Zeffiri , Principal Consultant at Idea75, visited Sorbonne Université in Paris to attend Datathon, the Reach Incubator event, with Naim Kenan Hacievliyagil from FabMetrics and Jelena Topić Božič, PhD from Inden – Software Solutions for Industry, Energy and Public sector who presented their innovative concept design in manufacturing using the data we provided.

10 REACH startups move on to EXPERIMENT Phase after winning Datathon in Paris!
During 16-20 May, 32 startups traveled to Paris to compete for the opportunity to move on to the next incubation phase.

Meet our 5 exceptional Round 1 EXPERIMENT Phase winners!
After two long days of hard work and exceptional pitching in Bilbao, Spain, 5 lucky startups got to continue on to EVOLVE Phase.
It has been a very exciting and emotional event for all of the consortium members and for the 10 EXPERIMENT Phase startups, particularly due to the fact that this has been the first physical event for REACH due to the pandemic.

REACH Open Call 1: Statistics behind the 184 applicants!
REACH Incubator called and 184 big data startups and SMEs answered!
Now we must wait to know which proposals are selected to enter the incubation programme, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start unveiling some details about the applications submitted. Open Call 1 was open for submissions from 16th November 2020 to 15th February 2021.
